26. Then God said, “Let us make people in our image, to be like ourselves. They will be masters over all life - the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the livestock, wild animals, and small animals."
28. God blessed them and told them, "Multiply and fill the earth and subdue it. Be masters over the fish and birds and all the animals."
Eji and Hotman and their best friends
In the name of the Father, and the Son and the Holy spirit Father Ari van Diemen, OFM Cap bless and pronounce Eji Ruth Lein Sitohang and Hotman Marpaung as a husband and wife at St. Joseph Catholic Church Balige. "So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.”
Hotman Marpaung is son of J. Marpaung and T. br Panjaitan from Porsea Balige.
The holy matrimony was held at St. Yoseph Cathohic Church Balige 7 January 2008. Ejis big family flew all the way to Balige to attend the ceremony.
Eji and Hotman pose before of the alter and Father Ari van Diemen, the parish Priest of St. Joseph Catholic Church Balige after the blessing of their wedding.
After the blessing ceremony, A. Nikson Sitohang, Ejis father put rice grain onto Ejis and Hotmans head. This is a tradional Batak custom in which the brides parent wishes the new couple for an everlasting happy marriage, children and prosperity.
Here is Ejis and Hotmat prayer for their wedding:
God help us to remember when we first met
And string love that grew between us
We asks for your your words, that our love grew eternally
And heart always ready to forgive
We herewith put our marriage into Your hand today, tomorrow and the day after...
I would like to join Ejis and Hotmans family and friends to wish both of them all the best and God bless.
